San Francisco City Hall Reopens for Weddings
San Francisco City Hall will reopen on June 7th, 2021.
City Hall is one of the most popular spots for hosting wedding ceremonies in San Francisco, with its stately elegance and exquisite architectural design.
This is great news for couples who plan to get married this year. City Hall was closed for 14 months due to COVID and finally announced its reopening earlier this month. We encourage you to start booking your ceremony time on the official website before spots fill up.
Here is a tip for everyone. When you click on the website, it will ask you if you need a marriage license appointment or a marriage ceremony appointment. We recommend booking these two appointments for the same day, with half an hour apart. This way, you will get the license first and then have your ceremony right after.
Even though couples are limited to 6 in-person guests, you can livestream your ceremony with a simple virtual wedding app to include unlimited virtual guests! If you need more tips, our friend at iQphoto Studio has a complete San Francisco City Hall wedding guide.
